Plywood
Sheet size:
1220 x 2440mm
Plywood is a versatile and durable engineered wood product made by layering thin sheets of wood veneer, known as plies, and bonding them together with strong adhesives. Each layer is arranged so that the wood grain alternates in direction, which enhances the panel's strength, stability, and resistance to warping or cracking.
The manufacturing process begins with high-quality veneers, which are carefully matched for thickness, grain, and type. These layers are glued together under heat and pressure using thermosetting adhesives, such as phenol-formaldehyde or urea-formaldehyde. This ensures strong, weather-resistant bonds that are often more durable than the natural wood itself.
Plywood is available in various types, including all-veneer panels and lumber-core varieties, to suit different applications. It comes in a range of thicknesses, typically from 4 mm for lightweight uses to 32 mm for heavy-duty purposes. Renowned for its versatility, plywood is used in construction, furniture making, packaging, and even marine applications, where its resistance to water and harsh environments makes it invaluable.
B/C GRADE
B-Grade Ply is commonly used in various non-structural applications where a high-quality aesthetic finish is not only desired but also essential. This versatile material includes applications such as wall cladding and furniture making, among others. When installed in areas that experience high levels of dampness, it is crucial that the boards are properly treated against potential fungal attack. Additionally, they should be surface finished with an appropriate sealer to effectively minimize surface checking and ensure longevity.

C/C GRADE
C-Grade or Shutterply is a high-quality material that is constructed from multiple thin layers of pine wood, which are meticulously bonded together using a strong adhesive. Each individual layer is typically oriented with its grain running at right angles to the adjacent layer. This innovative arrangement helps to significantly reduce shrinkage and enhance the board's overall strength and durability. Shutterply is primarily utilized for concrete shuttering applications and mezzanine flooring, making it an essential choice for various construction projects.

D/D GRADE
D-Grade, often referred to as Packing Ply, is a lower grade of plywood that is utilized in various applications where aesthetic appearance or long-lasting durability are not primary considerations. Consequently, packing grade boards are predominantly employed to construct boxes and crates that are used in the essential activities of packing, storing, and shipping a wide range of goods.
